This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. We comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India).

• Visitor management data: visitor names, vehicle numbers, photos, and entry/exit timestamps
• Community data: maintenance requests, amenity bookings, and notice board content

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Yizitor platform
• Process payments and service bookings
• Send account notifications, maintenance updates, and society announcements
• Authenticate your identity and ensure platform security
• Improve and personalize your experience
• Comply with legal obligations
• Send relevant communications about new features (you may opt out at any time)

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With your Society Management Committee to the extent necessary for society operations
• With verified service providers only for the specific booking you make
• With our technology partners who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements
• With law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by applicable law
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you will be notified in advance)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on servers located in India. We implement industry-standard security measures including: encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest (AES-256), access controls, regular security audits, and intrusion detection systems. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours as required by applicable law.

6. Visitor and Gate Management Data

Photos and biometric-equivalent data collected during visitor management are stored for a maximum of 90 days before automatic deletion, unless legal requirements mandate longer retention. Vehicle number plate data is retained for 180 days. Access logs are retained for 12 months for security purposes.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian law and our platform policies, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
